Beach Cleanup in La Aldea de San Nicolás! 🇪🇸 Spent the day picking up a wild range of flip flops, shoes, sunglasses, and single-use plastic bottles—some of which were over 10 years old! The sun was hawt, so we massively enjoyed a swim at a nearby beach. Also had a great time jumping off the walls with the locals and swimming back to shore. After a not-so-fun food poisoning episode that had us feeling like we were in a comedy sketch, this pleasant activity was just what we needed to feel human again. 🫶 #LaAldeaDeSanNicolás

Yesterday, I spent the day at Kynance Cove on the Lizard Peninsula. For over five hours, we cleaned the beach. Although I haven’t yet sorted through everything we collected, I estimate there were around 40+ plastic bottle tops. Also, we found an abundance of plastic straws, lollipop sticks and nurdles. This collage has been created entirely from plastic pollution, all beach cleaned directly from Church Cove and Dollar Cove at Gunwalloe, along the west coast of the Lizard peninsula. The piece spans nearly a meter in length. Soon, you’ll have the opportunity to view it in person at exhibitions, where it will be framed.
